Entry Requirements
- Visitors from Kenya are allowed to visit Myanmar without a visa for a period of 28 days.
- Intending visitors should apply for an e-visa before travelling to Myanmar.
- Prospective visitors must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of arrival in Myanmar. The passport should have at least one blank page for visa stamping.
- Kenya nationals are required to have a return or onward ticket as well as proof of enough funds to spend during their stay in Myanmar.
- Travellers under the age of 18 must show travel authorization from their parents or guardians.
- Intending visitors are expected to have proof of yellow fever vaccination before entry into the country.
- Intending visitors can travel to Myanmar from any international airport in Kenya. There is an international airport in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa.
- Importation and exportation of the Burmese kyat are highly prohibited in Myanmar.
- There is no restriction on the importation of foreign currency, however, travellers are to declare any amount exceeding $10,000 on arrival into the country.
- Kenyans are to pay an airport tax of $20 on departure from Myanmar.
